Using this website.
Plain-language terms covering what's on this site, what you can do with it, and what we can and can't promise.
Who runs this site
This website is operated by Filbert Press Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09872416, VAT number GB209305039), with its registered office at Langston Road, Suite 204a, East Wing Sterling House, Loughton IG10 3TS, United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@filbertpress.com.
Content and copyright
The text, photographs, illustrations, design and code on this site are protected by copyright. Photographs and book extracts are reproduced with the permission of the photographers, illustrators and authors named in their captions or credits. You are welcome to share short quotations and links for non-commercial purposes, with attribution. For any other use — reprint, syndication, image licensing — please write to us first.
Printed books & external retailers
We don't sell printed books directly. Print buy links lead to external retailers (Bookshop.org, Amazon and others). Their terms, prices, availability and delivery apply once you leave our site. We may earn a small commission from purchases made through affiliate links — see the privacy notice.
Buying an ebook
We sell ebooks directly on this site, with payment handled by our checkout and payments provider, Payhip (Payhip Ltd). For buyers in the EU and UK, Payhip acts as our authorised reseller and applies and remits the correct VAT; for buyers in the United States, Canada and elsewhere, Filbert Press is the seller of record and Payhip collects any applicable sales tax on our behalf. We sell worldwide; prices are shown before you pay and may be presented in your local currency. Your checkout is also subject to Payhip's Terms.
When you buy an ebook you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to read it on your own devices. Each copy is delivered by email as a watermarked PDF carrying your email address; please don't share, resell or redistribute it. Refunds and cancellation rights — including any mandatory rights that apply in your own country — are set out in our refund policy.
Newsletter and submissions
By subscribing to The Filbert Press Letter you confirm you have read the privacy notice and consent to receive occasional emails from us. By sending a manuscript proposal you confirm the work is yours and you have the right to share it; we read in confidence and do not return materials.
Acceptable use
Please don't try to break the site, scrape it for spam, or impersonate other people in messages you send through it. We may decline to reply to abusive or off-topic messages.
Limits
We try to keep the site accurate, but information here is provided as-is — without warranty. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
If we change these terms we will update the date above. Material changes affecting newsletter subscribers will be flagged by email.
