Refunds & your rights.
Our ebooks are digital downloads, delivered to your inbox within minutes of purchase. This page explains when you can get a refund and how to ask for one.
Who you buy from
Our ebooks are sold on this site with payment handled by Payhip (Payhip Ltd), our checkout and payments provider. For buyers in the EU and UK, Payhip acts as our authorised reseller and takes care of VAT; for buyers elsewhere, Filbert Press is the seller and Payhip processes the payment. However you paid, the quickest way to a refund is to email us at info@filbertpress.com — we issue approved refunds through Payhip back to your original payment method.
Digital downloads and your right to cancel
Because an ebook is digital content delivered immediately, you are asked at checkout to agree that delivery begins right away. Once the download has started with your consent, the statutory cooling-off period for digital content no longer applies — for example the 14-day right of withdrawal under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (reg. 37) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83. If you have not yet downloaded the file, you can still ask us to cancel for a full refund.
We sell worldwide. Wherever you are, you keep any refund, cancellation or consumer-protection rights that the law of your own country gives you and that cannot be waived — this policy never reduces those. Your purchase is also covered by Payhip's Terms, which apply to every order regardless of country.
If something is wrong, we fix it or refund it
We want you to have the book you paid for. Contact us and we will replace the file or give you a full refund if:
- you did not receive your download link, or it expired before you could use it;
- the file is corrupt, will not open, or is missing pages;
- you were charged twice, or charged in error.
For a faulty or undelivered file we will always try a working replacement first; if we cannot get you a readable copy, you get a full refund.
Change of mind
Because the file is yours to keep the moment it is delivered, we cannot normally refund simply because you have changed your mind after downloading. If you are unsure whether the book is right for you, the free sample pages on each book's page are there to help you decide before you buy.
How to ask for a refund
Email info@filbertpress.com with the email address you used at checkout and, if you have it, your Payhip order or receipt number. We aim to reply within two working days. Refunds, once agreed, are made to your original payment method through Payhip and usually appear within 5–10 days depending on your bank or card provider.
Print books
We do not sell print books directly from this website — printed editions are bought from third-party retailers (such as Bookshop.org and Amazon), and their own returns and refund policies apply. This policy covers ebooks bought directly from Filbert Press.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. The version in force is the one published here at the time of your purchase.
